this is a piece I did in my high school art class in 2005.
the prompt was Dutch still lifes (the ones with lots of decaying fruit and skulls, dealing with death and decay and beauty)...thus the antler bone and the flower--everything is transitory, deal. I put the Buddha in there to bring in a bit of hope, I was morbid enough already. the timing for this assignment was pretty eerie actually.
